password-protected individual carts - how?

I have a client who wants to put up separate shopping carts for several of his estabished clients, so that with a password, they can enter their (own) cart. That cart will be a different cart than other clients who will also be able to log into their own cart.

All the other times I've had a protected directory or cart, a password will get one into a single directory/cart that everyone uses, a "common cart" if you will. Not a different separate cart.

What I am asking is how can client A log in with his password , and be directed to his Cart A; and client B log in with his password and be directed to his Cart B? Without separate pages for each login, i.e. a single login page for every and all clients. There's probably an easy answer, but it eludes me right now. Any suggestions?

You are going to need a database that will compare the usernames and passwords and send them to the approperiate page based on the password/username.

Or

You can maybe use a java script that will allow for multiple users and passwords and multiple pages.

You can search the web for password scripts and get tons of them. Some wont support mutiple users etc others will.

I use one for a manufactured home site I designed - each customer can log in and view their home status. Each custmer has a different user name and password - the script then looks to see what page they get redirected to.

FOr the life of me I cant remember where I got it etc.. but I do know I found it on the web!

If your still trying out dreaweaver -

Create a database with fields - username | password | link
Use the create a login page server script & use the link field to direct to the cart.
