Site Unreachable

One of the sites in my reseller account is not reachable. The problem is probably related to DNS. I thought there was a way to reach the server with IP address, but none of the following links works.

http://8.9.22.11/username/index.html
http://8.9.22.11/username/public_html/index.html
http://8.9.22.11/username/home/public_html/index.html
http://8.9.22.11/~username/index.html
http://8.9.22.11/~username/public_html/index.html
http://8.9.22.11/~username/home/public_html/index.html

There is a file in the public_html folder called index.html.

Is there a way to reach a shared site using the public IP?

(Edit: I am aware of the host file modification, and it works, but I don't want to have to tell the customer how to do that if there is a way to direct link to the index.html file on the server.)

Similar worked on my server.

The ability was turned off after godaddy seized a domain name that happened to be using wwwroot2.net/~user/insecurescript/ebay_phish.html

godaddy took wwwroot2.net as a result, but we got it back.

8.9.22.11 was still turned off, but is back on now.

will work on that server and I'll go through and check the rest to make sure they are on.

Hi all

One of my sites on root17 I believe, inexplicably went south 4 days ago.

site cPanel®

No http, no ftp, no C-panel, nada. Email POP3 and listservs, stopped.

DNS issue I wonder?

Anyone else get this? Was there some kinda DNS change at PageZone recently,
attending the server moves?

Any pointers appreciated.

Hi Mark,

Pretty sure, old Root17 was moved to the South Bend data center over 4 days ago (Jim's announcement was posted on May 11).

You could try this link, I believe this will get you to cPanel on that South Bend server https://southbend-84.pgzn.com:2083/
