outgoing mail - 05-04-2005, 12:11 PM

we have a serious dilema going on here. anytime we want to send outgoing mail we get the error message...

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was '*****@PALACENET.COM'. Subject 'Re: important', Account: 'mail.amproinc.com', Server: 'mail.amproinc.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 Connection denied after dictionary attack', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

I have never seen this message before, and no one at our company is able to send email. on the other hand we can still recieve emails. Could someone PLEASE help me resolve this issue.

thanks for the reply. I submitted a ticket a few hours ago, and needless to say these guys are S........L........O........W. I can't even get anyone on the phone. So, in the meantime, no one here can send any email and i guess all we can do is wait.

I'll check the ticket. What that error means is your IP is blocked due to dictionary attack from it on our server. If you send to four non existing email addresses on the server in a row it will block your IP. It prvents the server from getting dictionarty attack spam.
