I am not sure how Jim feels about my disclosing this info, but here goes. I approached Jim a couple of years ago and asked him if he would donate webspace to me for a cancer website. He said yes. He has graciously hosted the website since then.
The website is for
rare adult cancer patients and all pediatric cancer patients. I was diagnosed with a rare cancer in 1998 and found a total lack of information and support for people like me on the
WWW. I immediately became a cancer advocate and worked for ACOR for several years as a volunteer.
I will be moving the website, so I just wanted to take a moment out to say
thank you Jim for your kindness over the last two years. Your donation of hosting space has been a real gift to the rare adult and pediatric cancer community. You may not be aware of it, but a few lives have been saved as a result of finding critical information quickly. You helped me to lay down a good base foundation of mutual support for pediatric and rare cancer patients. You will always have a special place in my heart.
Take Care, Sharon
