C-Panel - 12-03-2006, 06:40 AM

C Panel acting up on Root 12. I get error messages about the security certificate.
I can not log into any of the sites that I currently maintain! Including my own.
This just started yesterday and I have already submitted a support ticket.
(No reply yet).
Can someone please check this and give me some advise or comments as to what the problem is (all of a sudden)? Any help appreciated!

Not that I use the web mail but several of my clients do and now it's not accessible...which means Angry clients will be calling...
I know things were changing over but how long does this take?

The correct login link would be https://jp-designs.com:2083.

Yes, 12 is moving. I also noticed that the IP of the cpanel login is not 12. Best thing is to monitor the situation and not be bothered by errors. I would put together a short statement about the move (an improvement) and let clients know you backed up, and are monitoring it to make sure everything goes well. If someone does not like this, then give them OPTION B.

Jo Ann:

The security certificate error has been around for a long time on some servers and its not a concern. I would suggest you use the IP address, not domain name, of the new servers (8.*.*.*) to make sure you are going to the right place.

Webmail problems exist on other servers too.

Yes but should I really have to accept a certificate error all of a sudden..?
I really don't think so.. So yes it is a concern and it is not acceptable.
No one should have to put up with this nor should I have to use an IP..
I have too many clients to have to explain this to...
If it was just me.. I wouldn't complain...but business is business..and these people pay for a domain name..not an ip address..

Oh... Jo Ann, I admire your naivety. If you get through this with only having to accept a certificate that's got an error and using the IP for WHM (not cpanel, for that you still use a specific domain) you should sit down and thank the Gods for having mercy on you.

I've had http servers down, cpanel down, mail down for days, webmail down, mail being blocked in and out, domain creation crashing, forwarding setup crashing, DNS issues, etc, etc, etc. In addition, I get little response to Critical tickets (although Butch seems to be trying) and little other information as to what's going on from PZ.

Do some reading in "General Questions" and see what's going on here. Best to prepare your customers for a likely bumpy ride.
