Server Software versions - 05-27-2007, 02:23 PM

I'm setting up Apache/ PHP/ MySql on my computer. I'd like to align the versions I set up with the ones used by page-zone. Is there a list of what's being run where or if not, could there be?

phpinfo() will give all you ask for and more.
I suggest going with SuSe 10.2 I use it on my laptop for development and have found it OK. I tried centOS but got slammed upgrading 4.3>4.4 and my box was hosed so bad I blew away all but /home and started over with SuSe.

Hint: when setting up your partitions make /home a separate partition so when it hits the fan you can easily keep /home and blow the rest away and install another distro. If you have two HD's make one home and the other for the OS. If you are like me and will do a lot of development home will soon be larger than your OS space.
