Can I use web protect (password protection of directories) on my FrontPage site?

Basicly no. You can use web protect (password protection of directories) if your site does not depend on FrontPage server extensions. You also cannot use anything else that relies on the .htaccess file such as redirects and hotlink protection. You can however use FrontPage itself to password protect directories.
