The data center site website was down too. It looks like a 4-6 minute outage somehwere above our vlan. No latancy problems led up to - or followed the outage so I'm guessing it was a planned maintenace

Hi Joe,

In the forum Announcements, Jim said they'll keep the old Support System functioning while they debug the new one. The old one is located here- https://www.service.page-zone.com/desk/

You might try setting up a new account on the Support System (old or new) using an email address from your ISP, those seem to be getting through best (except for Comcast I guess).

To get to your cPanel:
https://8.9.24.74:2083/

Your WHM:

https://8.9.24.74:2087/

At 6:18 pm EST, dnsStuff.com is showing a good traceroute to your server.

Steve

I just logged into both old and new, so I know they're working.

If you want me to send any details to Tech Support, you can send them to me via PM and I'll relay the details into the Support System for you.

They're back up again.

This happened last wed for about 5 - 7 minutes and then again this week for about 10 minutes.

Is this random or the sign of something faulty or a process that is running and taking out the network?

There isn't anything faulty inside our network, it was something upstream again. And once again, no dropped packets or other sign of attack, just off one minute, on the next. And I believe they are doing network upgrades because there's a new fiber brought in and terminated at an empty router, and a couple more big routers laying around, and there's a new room being added. I'm going to log this and ask Joe the next time I go there. I have to go down there next week and shorten up some network cables.

Thanks for the follow up, Jim. There was an additional outage later in the day but much, much shorter. Thankfully they are short outages. The randomness is the most unsettling thing. I learned from last week to wait it out for 10 minutes.

The positive thing, of course, is that it appears all of this is in the name of upgrades and I'm more than willing to go through these growing pains to have higher reliability and quality service in the long run.
