Outgoing emails - 01-21-2007, 05:55 PM

Anyone else having problems with outgoing emails from SB50?

I have a script that uses the php mail() function to send email, but none seem to be arriving at their destination. I've also changed the script to use smtp, but that also doesn't seem to be coming through.

I've submitted a ticket, but got a load of script errors on the ticket page so I'm not sure if it went through.

This does not have to do with your script. There is a DNS issue on the server when trying to send emails to domains not on this server.

I SSH'ed into the server and did a simple ping yahoo.com and it does not resolve yahoo.com to an IP. You can also see this using nslookup and using this server as the "server".

I can not seem to open up a ticket, so if you have the ability to open one, you might want to include this information so as to make it easier for PZ staff to fix this.

I have been here since 2002 and have been getting pretty frustrated with the way the service has been operating lately. Hopefully this is just a bump in the road and not an indication of the way things will be going forward.

I'm having the same issues regarding server 114.

When in Horde and sending out email, it's coming back as unrouteable domain for places like hotmail.com and msn.com.

The bounce message "unrouteable domain" also shows up in google for a WHM/Cpanel issue when a limit is placed on outgoing emails per hour.

Which ever one is the real issue, DNS or WHM, I wish it would be resolved. I've been experiencing it since Friday and have had a ticket in since friday.

I have clients with this problem on server 50 also. When then send from SquirrelMail they get bounceback messages that say "unrouteable mail domain aol.com" (and all the other domains they try to send too).

I'm also having the same problems on 114. My customers aren't getting their confirmation e-mails, and I'm getting frustrated. I also can't open a ticket - I keep getting a "Internet Explorer cannot open the page" or something like that. I hope this is taken care of soon...

I have entered a ticket on this issue last Friday have not gotten a response as to what the problem is. It's either a DNS issue which schecky pointed out or it's the spam filter in WHM/Cpanel has been set at an intolerable low level (ie 4 emails and hour) and won't allow any emails out from the server.

Just tried to call the number listed on the PZ home page. It sent me to a cell phone who's voicemail was [not surprisingly] full.

I have the same problem on sb50 with several clients.
Already reported on support.

emails are bounced with 'unrouteable mail domain "msn.com"' messages.

Mario.

No news from me. There is another thread on this issue. So far it looks like two servers are affected -- 50 and 114.

I'm on 114 and affected by this also. I've been experiencing it since Friday.

I'd like to know if there is a resolution too.

Thanks,
Roger

This issue appears to be resolved for me on server 114
