Is there a way to change a password for a domain when the old one has been lost? - 06-25-2008, 12:50 PM

Single domain Accounts:
If a password is lost or forgotten you would need to contact us. We cannot look up the old password, we can only reset the password to something randomly generated and give that to you. With that you can log into cPanel and change it to whatever you would like.

The server will require that a password be secure enough to prevent it from being guessed and will return an error if you try to set it to something which can be easily cracked.

Reseller Accounts:
If you have a reseller account you can log into WHM and under 'Account Functions' click the password modification link. From there you can change it and give your client the new password.
