Secure access to cpanel

Just joined, everything here seems just about perfect except one thing...

Is there a way to get any kind of security around the cpanel app? In particular I worry about sniffing attacks, as it appears the password is sent plaintext.

I found a way to make the mail https, which is perfect. Is there a way to do it with cpanel as well?

And while I am posting... is there a freindly URL for email access? Something like www.foo.com/mail instead of www.foo.com:2096/hoarde/index... I suppose I could set up one myself easily enough, but if there is one there already I would like to use that.

http://www.foo.com/webmail/ should work.

Make sure you include the trailing slash.

https://yourdoamin.com:2087 (for Web Host Manager)

Secure webmail is at:

https://yourdomain.com:2096/

Regular (non-secure) is at
http://yourdomain.com/webmail/ (keep the trailing slash)
