UpGrading to PHP 4.3.0 - 01-20-2003, 06:16 PM

I have a friend that has written php so that I can upload images from my hdd to a website. When the images get to the server he is downsizing them to 320x240. This is causing them to be degraded. We have php 4.2.3 and a gd version of 1.6.2 I think. Is there another way to upload images and downsize them so they will look better in php. Or can I upgade my php version to 4.3.0 because it has the newer version of gd. Which is suppose to make images look much better.

Thanks,
DWalley

You won't be able to upgrade PHP. That is up to page-zone.

You could try using imagemagick. I know that is available on the servers.

Thanks for the tip on Imagemagick. It works great. No more worries.
