Hi, I'm trying to transfer my php-nuke based web site to the new account I just bought from you. I know this might seem a third party question but I never had this problem and I believe is something specific to this server. When I transfer my database to the new server it comes with this messages. Do you know what might create this problem? Thank you.

Warning: setlocale() [function.setlocale]: Passing locale category name as string is deprecated. Use the LC_* -constants instead. in /home/tabletpc/public_html/tabletpc/mainfile.php on line 565

This is the process I followed for moving a PHP-Nuke site:

1. downloaded the MySQL database
2. put up a "temporarily unavailable" page in old location
3. /installed/ PHP-Nuke to the new location
4. restored the MySQL database through CPanel
5. fixed references to the MySQL database in the .cfg file

now i'm definitely leaving some parts out, because i had a lot of customization done to my templates.. the long version of what i did was:

1. downloaded the original MySQL database
2. put up a temporarily unavailable page in old location
3. installed PHP-Nuke to new spot
4. deleted all of the themes included with it except for
5. i uploaded the themes & modifications that are used in my backup with FTP
6. i discovered an error kind of like yours because i hadn't restored the MySQL database and the default install was calling for the default theme which was deleted
7. i put the default theme back up
8. i restored the MySQL database through the CPanel /and/ through the PHP-Nuke Administration menu at some point and cannot remember which worked
9. the database ended up having a different name and password after it was restored, which i had to edit a .cfg file somewhere to point nuke to the right DB

and i'm still pretty sure i left something out.
i'm sure i could do it again easily without messing up.
not that i would ever want to move servers again... waiting for DNS to kick in is frustrating enough with new domains...

This error or warning is reported like a bug between php-nuke 6.0 and php 4.3.0 (or superior).

To fix this you should replace the line:
setlocale ("LC_TIME", "$locale");

With:
setlocale (LC_TIME, $locale);

You can see the full article wich includes the files you must update on:
http://www.phpnuke.org/modules.php?n...ticle&sid=5244

Try it, it shoul work fine! or install php-nuke 6.5 f you like
