Post Explain folders please - 05-06-2003, 08:23 PM

I am currious as to how to best organize my folders with the cPanel. When I registered my domain name I was only able to put my index in the WWW folder so that I could see it on the web. Is this where I should keep my index for my main page? How about public_html and public_ftp? how do these folders work?

the index file for your site (and all other html material - images, etc) go in the public_html folder.

www is an alias (symbolic link) to public_html. They both go to the same place.
