Credit Card Info thru email

Just read a tip form Midwest about splitting credit card info between two separate emails to make things more secure with ordinary email.

Are there any other ways to pass this kind of information which are more secure than plain old email?

I have to send my cc info to an individual, as she is collecting this info from a group of individuals. The cc info will be entered into an https site that a hotel has set up for this purpose, so I'm not concerned about that.

At this point I will probably mail the info to her. But the request to pass this through email got me thinking.

The url for cipher is really interesting. Very easy to do.

Yes, the cipher is slick. I am writing one with js and php to use for a double delayed authentication system.
