Redirect? - 02-08-2005, 12:04 AM

How do i set up a domain to point to another...a redirect.

I own the same domain name with a .com extension and a .tv extension. I just want the .tv to point to the .com without uploading any duplicate sets of files.

I did not see a set up redirect in web host manager.

Can anyone fill me in?

Thanks in advance

-Dan

Another way is to use cPanel in your .tv account.
If you're using XController, go to Server, then Redirects.
In the first box enter index.htm.
In the second box, put your .com domain.

Here's a screen shot of what it looks like.

website redirection - 09-08-2005, 07:07 AM

Hello,
I currently have a server which is unix hosted, i have been told to use the .htaccess to re-direct my domain from http://www.mydomain.co.uk to http://mydomain.co.uk, i simply wish to remove the www.
So that when users type in www.mydomain.co.uk it takes them straight to http://mydomain.co.uk.

Hope you can help

Stephen

p.s i do allready have some content in my htaccess file so please advise on this.

Hi Stephen,

Is this account on Page-Zone server's? If so, I'm surprised this isn't happening by default. On the two Page-Zone servers I work with, this "came with the package" and can get to my domain's either using the www or not.
