resend welcome email - 12-27-2005, 08:59 PM

Is it my imagination, or is there a way to resend the welcome email with the login details for an account?

I know of no way to do this and WHM does not seem to be able to either.

Many times we still have it, and you can just request it in a ticket.

Yes, I know this is almost a year old, but it's a common question so I decided to answer it. In the short time I've been with page-zone I've dealt with this at least a dozen times.

Thanks Butch. I usually come here for an answer. So it's great to have several responses posted to the same Q. I save all the welcome letters in my local database. However, the contact email for a few sites is someone else. Of course he didn't save it. I had to reset the password. Not a big deal, but I wanted to resend the original letter for emphasis.

I see your up early answering posts. Great job you're doing BTW.

You could always use your email addy for the contact and then tell the client to change it when you forward the welcome message to them.

You can list several addresses in the contact box, separated by commas. I do that, using a reliable non P-Z address, of course, and also list my partner's email there so we both get CCs.

If the client wants to be listed, too, then fine, we add that address to the list, but we want to know immediately about all alerts, such as a site approaching a bandwith limit, so we can act to evaluate the reason, and act accordingly. (FWIW, we keep fairly close limits on BW and Quota on all accounts and tell our clients to tell us in advance if they are expecting a surge due to publicity, etc.).
