Why has my account been suspended?

If you are recieving an "Account Suspended" page when trying to access your site, it could be there for a number of reasons including but not limited to:

  • Lack of payment
  • CPU limit exceeded
  • Bandwidth limit exceeded
  • Violation of our Terms of Service

If the account was suspended for lack of payment, it is usually a month or two past due, and we have received no contact from the email address on file from the many reminders that were sent. An account will not be suspended the day after it was due. Our billing dept provides a lot of leway on getting accounts up to date.

To determine why your account was suspended, please contact our support department from your client area to find the issue and the resolution. Most accounts can be unsuspended almost immediately, depending on what caused the account to become suspended in the first place.

If a website is crashing the entire server we will suspend it without notice or it might be suspended automatically by our monitoring software in order to protect the entire server and all sites from going down.
